河村明夫 Akio Kawamura is my favorite animation director in Detective Conan (especially in the early seasons). Despite the length of the special episode #129 (2 hours), he was credited as the sole animation director. It seems he worked on it for seven months (?).

Coai in formal clothing this time round. When they are in a formal/party setting, I imagine them to be observing people from afar and discussing their thoughts with each other.

This year, my goal was to outdo my post last year—and I was really, really proud of that work so it was a tall order. I followed a similar concept—the two photographs, then and now—but this time, I wanted to explore how becoming Conan was good for Shinichi—as a result, he’s gained so many people who care about him.

Of course, I couldn’t pass up the opportunity for some angst as well :)
